How can we help?

Sculpt messages

Overview

Before you can use the Sculpt Editor for message creation, you need to create a Sculpt Template and Sculpt Blocks in your account. The Template is a starting point for your message, and the Blocks are draggable sections for building your layout and content. You can easily customize Templates and Blocks within your messages to create eye-catching layouts, and you can utilize our generative AI tool to quickly create impactful text.

The option to use the Sculpt editor for message creation will not be available until you have a Sculpt Template set up in your account.

Create a new Sculpt message

Navigate to Messages > Create New Message, choose Sculpt Editor, and click Continue.

Select a Sculpt Template

In the Message Content section of the message creation page, you'll see a list of available Sculpt Templates. Select a Template to get started. You can toggle between thumbnail and list view by clicking the Settings button.

Add Sculpt Blocks

If there are Sculpt Blocks in your Template, you'll be able to select and edit them on the Sculpt editor page. If there are no editable Blocks, you will need to add them using the Block Library.

1. Click the Block Library button to view any available Blocks and drag them into your Template.

2. Next to the Block Library search bar, you can toggle between Thumbnail and List view.

3. Click i in thumbnail view or the dropdown arrow in list view to find more information about the Block.

  • List view:

3. Select a Block and drag it into the Template to start building your layout.

Edit Sculpt Blocks

You can make any needed changes to the text, images, or other input fields in your Sculpt Block before and during message creation.

1. From within your Sculpt message or Template, select the desired Block and click the Block Editor button.

2. Make any needed changes to the input fields in your Block. The below example shows an image in the Block editor.

3. After making the desired changes, the preview pane will automatically update, or you can click the Preview button at the bottom of the form to see the changes.

Generate AI content

Once AI content generation is enabled for the text field in a Sculpt Block, you'll see the option to edit and Generate AI Content when you click on the Block during message creation.

1. In the Block editor, click on the Block you want to customize.

2. Select Generate AI Content to produce multiple variations of generative content you can use.

3. To customize the text, select one or multiple of the options: Shorten, Lengthen, Urgent, Casual, Funny.

4. Click Use Content under the AI-generated text you wish to use and select Preview to view it in your Sculpt Block.

Message Assistant

Improve your messages with brand-specific suggestions from the Message Assistant. Powered by Cordial Edge AI, this tool is available in Sculpt when creating a message.

Move and delete Sculpt Blocks

Blocks within the Template can be moved and deleted by clicking on the Block and using the Move, Add, Delete toolbar.

Preview and save

After adding Blocks and customizing your content, you can preview the message in the desktop view, the mobile view, or a split view by clicking on one of the preview buttons at the top of the Sculpt editor.

You can also preview message headers (message subject, from email, reply email, and from description) directly from the preview pane.

Message headers cannot be edited from this location. If necessary, return to the Message Creation page to edit headers and other message properties.

Save draft

Once you're happy with the layout and content of the message, click the Save Draft button to return to the Message Creation page. You'll see the Template name displayed in the Message Content section. You can edit the content using the Edit button or remove the Template from your message by clicking the Remove button.

Any changes made to the current message Template will not affect the underlying Sculpt Template or Sculpt Blocks. Likewise, any changes to the Blocks or Template will not affect the current message Template.

Multi-User Collaboration

The multi-user collaboration feature prevents conflicting edits when two or more team members work on the same Sculpt message. When one user is actively editing a message, other users who open it enter read-only viewer mode. Indicators in the toolbar show who is currently viewing or editing the message content so your team always knows who's working on what.

Use case

You could have a marketing manager building out a promotional Sculpt email while a copywriter opens the same message to review the content. The copywriter sees a modal identifying the marketing manager as the active editor and enters viewer mode automatically with no risk of overwriting each other's work. When the marketing manager finishes and leaves, the copywriter is promoted to editor and can make their changes.
