Lifetime Value

Overview

The Lifetime Value model provides a data-backed estimate of a customer's potential revenue over the course of their subscribed history with your brand. You can use this metric to hone your engagement strategies.

Lifetime Value is available as an attribute in the Audience Builder and Contact Profile.

Contact your CSM to enable Lifetime Value in your account.

Use cases

  • Deliver loyalty perks, retention offers, or sales opportunities to customers with a high lifetime value to make sure they stay engaged
  • Identify products frequently purchased by high-value customers and market them to medium-value customers
  • Use the Lifetime Value model alongside Engagement Momentum to target customers with a medium lifetime value and high engagement momentum, sending them personalized offers 

How Lifetime Value is predicted

Cordial Edge factors in a customer's average order value, purchase frequency, and lifespan (so far) to predict their Lifetime Value.

Available values

Cordial Edge places applicable contacts into high, medium, or low Lifetime Value categories. Contacts without enough data to predict a Lifetime Value are categorized as no engagement.

Recent order data is required for Lifetime Value to function. Lifetime Value data is refreshed on a daily basis via Data Job.

Use Lifetime Value

Lifetime Value is an array of strings: crdl_ai_lifetime_category

Build an audience with Lifetime Value

1. Navigate to Contacts > Audiences and select New or edit an existing audience. 

2. Under rules, type in Cordial AI Lifetime or locate it under Attributes.

3. Click on Cordial AI Lifetime Value or drag it into the Include Contacts section. 

4. Enter the desired Lifetime Value—high, medium, or low—to load applicable contacts.

5. Click the Actions button and select Save

6. Once your audience is saved, you can select it when creating or editing messages across channels.

View a contact's Lifetime Value

1. To view Lifetime Value for an individual contact, navigate to Contacts > Contact Profile and select the contact. 

2. Click the Attributes tab and locate the Cordial AI Lifetime Category attribute.
