Overview
In this article, you’ll learn how to use the Message Performance micro agent to ask questions about a sent batch message and get answers in plain language.
The Message Performance micro agent is an AI assistant built into the performance view of a batch messages across any channel. Instead of moving between reports and dashboards to understand how a send performed, you can ask the agent directly. It answers questions about delivery, engagement, revenue, links, experiments, audiences, and send timing for the message you’re viewing, and it can combine filters in ways a single report screen can’t.
Use case
You could open the performance view for last week’s promotional email and ask, “Which links had zero clicks, and how did my loyalty segment perform compared to everyone else?” The agent returns link-level results and an audience comparison in one response, without exporting data or building a separate report.
Open the Message Performance agent
- From the Cordial Dashboard, navigate to Messages. Choose between Email Sent, SMS Sent, or Push sent (if applicable).
- Select the message you want to review.
- On the message’s performance page, click on the micro agent icon in the top right to open the chat panel.
- Enter your question in the chat field and press Enter. The agent responds in the panel using data from the message you’re viewing.
What you can ask the agent
You can ask questions the same way you’d ask a colleague. The agent supports the following topics.
Overall performance
- “How did this message perform?”
- “What drove the most revenue in this send?”
Links and click map
- “Which links got the most clicks?”
- “Which links had zero clicks?”
- “Show link performance for CTAs only, not footer or unsubscribe links.”
Experiments
- “Did this message have an A/B test? Which variant won?”
- “How did the subject line variants compare?”
Audiences and tags
- “What audience was this message sent to?”
- “How did my VIP segment perform compared to the rest of the audience?”
- “Show performance for messages tagged
welcome series.”
Send timing and delivery
- “Was send time optimization (STO) enabled, and did it help?”
- “How was delivery throttled across this send?”
Tips for better answers
- Be specific about the metric you care about, such as click rate, revenue, or unsubscribes.
- Name the audience, tag, or link type you want to filter by.
- Ask follow-up questions in the same conversation. The agent keeps the context of your earlier questions.
