Overview
In this article, you'll find a summary of new features and enhancements released during the month of April 2026.
AI-powered SMS unsubscribe intent detection
Cordial can now automatically detect when a contact wants to unsubscribe from SMS, even when they don't use exact keywords like "STOP." An AI model analyzes the meaning of incoming messages and will auto-unsubscribe a contact if their opt-out intent is clear. Two new opt-out detection modes are available per channel and per country: Contains mode matches an opt-out keyword within a longer message, and Intent mode uses AI to analyze messages that don't match any keyword. The existing exact-match behavior is unchanged and remains the default. A matchType field and unsubScore are now captured on unsubscribe events for audit and reporting. New modes must be explicitly enabled in channel settings under unsubscribeDetection. Learn more.
SMS reply message capture
Cordial now captures automatic SMS reply messages sent to contacts. This enhancement supports compliance requirements and audits by logging automatically-generated outbound SMS responses (such as opt-out confirmations) alongside inbound messages. Visible in the contact event timeline and available as a data export. Contact your CSM for more details.
Conversion Propensity Model
The feature flag for Conversion Propensity has been prepared. This upcoming AI capability will predict the likelihood a contact will complete a defined conversion action. An AI sparkles indicator has been added to the Contact Profile and Audience Builder for AI-powered attributes. Learn more.
Save an audience from within the message
You can now save an audience built within a message for reuse later. A new save icon in the message audience widget opens a modal where you can name, describe, and optionally enable Audience Trends tracking for the audience. The saved audience appears in the Saved Audience list and can be used with Linked Audiences. Learn more.
Cordial Dashboard custom previous period comparison
The Dashboard timeframe picker now supports a Custom Previous Period comparison option. You can compare any two date ranges side-by-side — for example, 2025 BFCM vs. 2024 BFCM — giving you more flexibility in analyzing year-over-year performance. Learn more.
Sculpt: rich text block improvements
Multiple improvements to the Sculpt rich text editor were made throughout April, including fixes for copy-paste behavior, corrected text block bottom margins in email output, and a fix for text formatting where the last character's style was incorrectly applied to the entire block.
